Hello families!
We are excited and hopeful to spend some time together this year at Creative Beginnings Early Learning and Care Summer Camp! Please continue reading for more information and details about our Summer Camp programs for 2024. All CB programs are licensed by the Ministry of Education.
Camp programs are available for children ages 4 to 12 years old.
Camp will be held mainly outdoors at our Baden Public School location (address: 155 Livingston Blvd, Baden).
Camp hours are 7:30am to 5:30pm daily. All of our programs are led by qualified educators to ensure we deliver top notch activities for your children to enjoy.
Camp Activities
Camp activities will include weekly field trips, special guests, water play (giant water bouncy castle), outdoor sports, arts & crafts, picnic lunches, STEM activities, themed group games, exploring local community trails, ponds and more!
In addition to planned daily activities,
your child will also get:
1. Two nutritious snacks (CB does not provide lunch)
2. Pizza party lunches every Friday
3. Camp t-shirt and water bottle (one per summer)
4. One field trip and/or special guest per week
5. Memories to last a lifetime

Camp Processes and Fees

Camp registration will open on February 1st 2024. A confirmation email will be sent to you within 5 business days after you submit your registration form.
Camp programs are filled on a first come first served basis. If spaces are full at the time you register, an email will be sent to you asking if you would like to be placed on a waitlist.

$117.60/week for children 5 and under ($23.52/day with CWELCC reduction) (JK/SK)
$275.00/week for children 6 and over ($55.00/day) (Grade 1-6).
Children 5 and under receive the CWELCC reduction of 52% based on the grade they are going into September 2024.
There is no additional cost for extended hours.
Children must be a minimum of 4 years old at the time they attend camp programs.

50% of fees must be paid upon registration and receiving your confirmation email to secure your child’s space, the remaining 50% will be due on May 1st 2024.
Camp registrations received after May 1st 2024 will need to be paid in full to secure your child's space.
Summer camp invoices/payments are non-refundable (unless CB is required to cancel programs due to Public Health or WRDSB policies).

Things to Bring
Summer camp will be held outside for the duration of the summer! We will have access to the school should inclement weather occur, and for washroom use. Please ensure to always send your child to camp with the following items:
· their lunch
· sunscreen
· a water bottle
· running shoes
· clothing for cool mornings and hot afternoons
· a hat
· an extra change of clothes in case things get dirty
· a bathing suit & towel for water play.
Please ensure that all items are in a backpack or sports bag labeled with the child’s name. **Please note, if your child requires any medication, an epi-pen, or an inhaler it MUST come in its original packaging and parents must give it directly to the Camp Educators and fill out a form before leaving. We cannot administer Tylenol or Advil without a doctor’s note.** If your child requires an EPI-PEN, an inhaler, and/or mediation to be given while they are at camp, please note they cannot attend until you have completed and returned the Individualized Plan and Medication paperwork that will be emailed with your enrollment package. Peanut and Nut Safe Environment:
We ask that you DO NOT send peanut butter or nuts to camp with your child.
Pick up and
Drop Off
Creative Beginnings Early Learning and Care has a face-to-face drop off and pick up procedure. This means that you must visually and verbally connect with your child's Camp Educator so they know when your child is arriving and departing for the day.
Policies and Expectations

While at camp, it is expected that campers will act in an appropriate manner at all times. To aid in this positive behaviour we have outlined 5 camp rules and our Behaviour Tolerance Policy that must be followed:
1. Hands and feet must be kept to yourself at all times.
2. Speak to others the way you would want them to speak to you.
3. Do not touch things that do not belong to you.
4. Stay in the activity area at all times, Camp Educators must be notified if you are leaving for any reason (i.e.: bathroom break).
5. Follow the direction set out by your Camp Educators.

Our professional Camp Educators will follow CB’s Child Guidance Procedure with children which includes problem solving and positive redirection. Therefore, if a child continues to impose a risk to the health and safety of other children or educators, their camp space will be terminated. There will be no hitting, kicking, shoving, spitting, stealing, or damage of another person or their property, or physical or verbal threats towards themselves or others while at camp. If this occurs, parents will be contacted and the child may not be welcomed back at camp at the parent’s expense. No refunds will be issued.
